Morog Polao Recipe 

Bangladeshi Chicken Polao -- One Pot 40 Min

Intro:

Biye bari, Jummar din, meheman ashle - Morog Polao chara chole? Chicken + polao ek pot e. 40 minute, 1 patil. Bacha theke bura - shobai chetepute khabe. Restaurant er 350 taka per plate, bashay banan 70 taka 

Morog Polao er secret holo "dudh + dahi" er balance. Dahi chicken soft rakhe, dudh creamy flavor dey. R dum cooking e rice er dana thake, gluey hoy na. Students ra chaile egg diyeo banate parben.

Ingredients for 4 People - Total: 280 Taka  

- Chicken 500g - 160 Taka  

- Polao Chal/Basmati 2 cups - 80 Taka  

- Onion 3 medium, sliced - 20 Taka  

- Ginger-Garlic Paste 3 tbsp - 10 Taka  

- Tok Doi 1/2 cup + Milk 1/2 cup - 10 Taka  

- Ghee 3 tbsp + Oil 2 tbsp - 15 Taka  

- Spices: Cardamom 4, Cinnamon 2 stick, Bay leaf 2, Cumin 1 tsp, Chili powder 1 tsp, Salt  

Instructions

Step 1: Marinate Chicken 

Chicken + doi + half ginger-garlic + salt + chili powder. 15 min rakhben. Dahi chicken tender korbe.

Step 2: Bhuna 

Patil e ghee + oil gorom. Pura gorom moshla, onion diye brown koren. Marinated chicken diye high flame 8-10 min bhuna. Pani chere ashle medium flame.

Step 3: Add Rice 

Dhoya polao chal diye 2 min roast. Rice e chicken er mosha lagbe. Then gorom pani 4 cups + milk 1/2 cup + baki ginger-garlic. Salt check koren.

Step 4: Dum Cooking  

High flame 5 min bolok ashle, dheke LOW flame 20 min. Tawa niche dile best. 20 min por off kore 10 min dum e rakhben. Nara diben na.

Step 5: Serve

Kishmish, badam, beresta diye garnish. Gorom gorom serve koren borhani ba salad er sathe.

Pro Tips

1. Dudh trick : Last e 1/2 cup dudh dile restaurant er gondho ashe. Skim milk cholbe.  

2. Dum is king: Low flame 20 min na dile polao gluey hoye jabe. Dhorjo rakhen.  

3. Chicken size: Boro tukra koren. Choto tukra shukay jay.  

4. Budget hack: Polao chal na thakle atop chal + 1 tbsp extra ghee.

Serving Ideas:

Eid, Jummar din, guest ashle must item. Egg bhuna, dim bhuna, borhani - ei 3 ta chara Morog Polao jome na. Dhaka te restaurant e 350 taka per plate. Apnar bashay 70 taka per person.
